This is the video that started it all for me. When I was told that we had to make a commercial for class, I did not want to accept just doing something average. I didn't want to do a commercial for shampoo, or something that was done during study hall in the school's hall ways. This assignment was given to us around Halloween time, and I wanted to take full advantage of that.
Came up with the idea, that Halloween costumes basically suck! There's nothing good to wear, that's ever scary. So BUY FORMULA 99! The idea was if you can't find a costume to look like a monster, get formula 99, and become a monster! It wasn't meant to be taken seriously. More of a spoof of a commercial than an actual one. However, the teacher still loved it, and we ended up getting a A+!
You may notice that there is a complete lack of dialogue in this video. It was originally meant to have a voice over, implying how it's hard to find a good costume for Halloween. However, we had trouble with our microphone, and the voiceover didn't work out in the final cut. We were only allowed to make our commercial 30 seconds, so you may have to watch this one twice before you catch what the hell just happened.
